1. Be different (Philippians 2:14-16)
Grumbling is complaining, usually in private conversations.
Disputing is arguing about differences of opinion.
Grumbling or disputing becomes a stumbling block for others.
We shine by being different in the midst of the darkness.
We are different when we pay attention to, and hold firmly to, God’s Word.
2. Take Heart (Philippians 2:17-18)
I am responsible to do what God has commanded me.
Sacrifice and service are indicators of the submissive mind.
Paul rejoiced because his heart was directed toward faithful obedience.
Take heart, stop being like the world and re-focus.
