SOMETHING
The dynamics of God’s words remain foundational to the formation of the people of God: past, present, and future. The context of the past is to be understood to understand the with-God life in the present and future.
You and I are assigned to God’s favor. Think on this word for you. Let it sink deep within.
There’s more for you than can be imagined.
And.
The favor of God is not only for you BUT given to benefit whoever is yours to influence.
Two words which give foundation to today's conversation of understanding God's favor:
1.
2.
These words require study and a specific way of thinking.
_____________________, which is God-study,
_____________________ and _____________________ is _____________________ thinking.
This is an essential key to living well.
It makes a profound difference when we do not think in this way. Martin Luther King Jr. said:

Developing a God-perspective requires _____________________, which includes _____________________.
KEY GOD-WORD: (Voice)
Something Old: Genesis. This week read Genesis 11-17.
Genesis 15:5
God took him outside to show him something.
Eternal One: Look up at the stars, and try to count them all if you can. There are too many to count! Your descendants will be as many as the stars.
Genesis 16:1
Despite God’s promise, years went by. Still Abram’s wife Sarai remained childless. But she did have an Egyptian servant girl whose name was Hagar. Sarai had an idea so she approached her husband.
Genesis 18:9
I have chosen him for a reason, namely that he will carefully instruct his children and his household to keep themselves strong in relationship to Me and to walk in My ways by doing what is good and right in the world and by showing mercy and justice to all others. I know he will uphold his end of the covenant, so that he can ensure My promises to him will be fulfilled and upheld as well.
Something New: Matthew. This week read Matthew 7.
Matthew 7:24-27
Those people who are listening to Me, those people who hear what I say and live according to My teachings—you are like a wise man who built his house on a rock, on a firm foundation. 25 When storms hit, rain pounded down and waters rose, levies broke and winds beat all the walls of that house. But the house did not fall because it was built upon rock. 26 Those of you who are listening and do not hear—you are like a fool who builds a house on sand. 27 When a storm comes to his house, what will happen? The rain will fall, the waters will rise, the wind will blow, and his house will collapse with a great crash.
