The Fact
You DESPISE my name! (Malachi 1:6)
Life Principle:
When we live in continuous sin, we bring CONTEMPT upon the name and reputation of God!
The Question
How have we despised and POLLUTED your name? (Malachi 1:6-7)
Life Principle:
When sin FLOURISHES, even evil becomes GOOD to the emboldened sinner!
The Proof
The priests brought their SECOND BEST to the Lord of Hosts!
(Malachi 1:8-10)
Life Principle:
Busy religious activity has no profit to God without OBEDIENCE!
THE HEART OF THE MATTER
We must recognize God must have the authority in our lives as our Father and Lord of Hosts. We honour His name through our obedience to His Word knowing that second best is not good enough.
