The choice of David was initiated by God and received God’s acceptance
David is an unlikely choice because:
- David was last in birth order
- David already had a job
- David was not popular
God’s standards are different than ours:
- God is looking for a life of sincerity
- God is looking for a life of integrity
- God is looking for a heart fixed on Him
- God is looking for a heart in fellowship with Him
God’s Spirit is the key to success:
