Honor The Way They Live!

Titus 2:2-7

‘Be an example,’ ‘live wisely’ and ‘live in a way that honors God!’
These words call up older men and women and frankly, all of us, to be an example; to by the way we live Jesus, live in a way that honors God! Are we?
Biblical principles to honor those older and how they live Jesus:
WAITING to speak!

Job 32:4

Ecclesiastes 5:2

SUBMITTING to their authority!

1 Peter 5:5

Micah 6:8

So, those of us ‘older and wiser;’ are we, by the way we live; giving others something worth honoring, respecting, following and submitting to? If not, what needs to change?
RISING in their presence!

Leviticus 19:32

Respectfully TREATING them as Fathers and Mothers!

1 Timothy 5:1-2

REPAYING them!

1 Timothy 5:4

TEACHING them to be godly examples!

Titus 2:7

‘Be an example,’ ‘live wisely’ and ‘live in a way that honors God!’
Are we, in the way we live, living Jesus in a manner worthy of honor? If not, what needs to change?

That’s our eternal reward for ‘being an example,’ ‘living wisely’ and ‘liv- ing in a way that honors God!’ Are we?

THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE:
“In everything set them an example by doing what is good.” Titus 2:7a NIV
