TALK IT OVER:
1) How have you personally sacrificed for someone else?
2) Why are we willing and even compelled to sacrifice for others?
3) Take a couple of minutes and imaginatively walk through Jesus’ journey from Heaven, to embryo, to the manger, to childhood, to his adult ministry, to the cross. What do you think were some of his greatest joys and most painful moments (in addition to the cross)?
4) How does the above exercise make the words in Galatians 4:4, Hebrews 4:15, Psalm 139:13, and 1 Corinthians 5:21 come alive?
5) If you had to pick one word to describe what our response ought to be--to all that Jesus did for us--what would it be, and why?
