Encountering the Risen Christ: Burning Embers
Join us as our guest preacher, Rev. Greg Cruice, shares this series with our Trinity Wellsprings Church family. After the resurrection, Scripture teaches us that Jesus appeared to His followers multiple times over 40 days. Through the month of May, we will explore the lessons the resurrected Jesus taught during His last days on earth…lessons about hope and how to depend on Christ; lessons about doubt and who and what to trust in those moments; lessons about reconciliation; and finally why the Ascension is something so frequently overlooked by Christians and the importance of ascension encounters.

Peter denies three times, Jesus asked three questions!
-Peter claims he will never let Christ down… Jesus warns him! (John 13:31-38)
-Peter denies Christ. (John 18:15-18; 25-27)
-Jesus, crucified and resurrected, asks Peter three times,
“_________________________________?” (John 21: 15-17)
Lessons on our burning embers!
1. Start with our own view of forgiveness and new life… depends on ________________________________________ and
________________________________________. Romans 5:8;8:31-39
2. We love because _______________ ____________ loved us.
Christ teaches us love despite anything, anywhere, anyone who has
in some way made that difficult for us to do. (1 John 4:19; 1 John 1:6;
1:9-11; 2:16-20; 4:7-21)
3. Christ, through Scripture gives us the formula to love, forgive, seek
redeemed relationships. How?
-Lead with prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to take over before you even begin.
-Seek ____________________in Christ with others. (Philippians 4:1-9).
-If made mistakes, __________________! (I John 1:9; James 5:16)
-Use the Matthew 18:15-20 formula, _________! One amendment:
not only if wronged but the one who may have wronged.
The cross of Christ is wide enough and His tomb powerful enough for forgiveness and new creation!
