https://gatewaybible.churchcenter.com/givingFORGIVENESS is the act of pardoning another person despite their shortcomings and offenses.
A benefit of forgiveness is that it STOPS feelings of anger or resentment toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake.
Theologically, death in the Bible is understood as SEPARATION not cessation.
Humans are born separated from GOD, but not from His GOODNESS.
For God to forgive sin, two conditions are necessary. A LIFE must be taken as a substitute for that of the sinner, and the sinner must come to God's sacrifice in a spirit of REPENTANCE and FAITH.
The Bible teaches that God completely forgives SIN. The initiative comes from Him because He is ready to forgive. He is a God of GRACE and PARDON.
God's forgiveness of your sin EMPOWERS you to forgive others.
A FORGIVING spirit shows that one is a true follower of Christ.
