We're continuing our series around The Case for Christ and the opportunity we've been given to investigate the credibility of faith. Many folks have questions, doubts, struggles and things they wrestle with as it comes to searching out and understanding Christianity and faith. Maybe as we lean into this series, some of your struggles will begin to sift out to a place of viability and possibility. If you've never read the book: The Case for Christ, by Lee Strobel - why not give it a look. Lee was an investigative reporter at the Chicago Tribune who set out to disprove the claims of Christianity as an atheist and skeptic. After researching for months, interviewing specialist and weighing the facts, his journey took a turn toward God. Read the book. Go see the movie about his life that's in theaters now - it's a true, authentic look at his journey of skeptic into the case for Christ.
We all wrestle with things in life... you may even wrestle with faith. In fact, you may be here wrestling with faith, and what priority it should play or if it should play a role in your life at all. Maybe you’ve wondered if there is more to life than chasing the things under the sun and the normal rhythms of your days. Maybe you’d simply label yourself as a ‘searcher’, trying to search things out, to understand what’s true…maybe you label yourself a skeptic or atheist. But perhaps you're interested in wrestling with the truth for yourself. God loves to meet those that search...
As we investigate - as we make our decision to come home to Christ, we're now invited to INVITE others toward him in all we say and do...
For some of you or your friends – their still wrestling about faith, that’s okay. It’s not our job to win arguments…it’s our job to INVITE people toward Jesus…this series isn’t about trying to win an argument, this is about a conversation around the credibility of faith and the Jesus story. This is us caring about what God cares most about: people!
"No one ever converted to Christianity because they lost an argument."
-Philip Yancey

Matthew 5:13-16

Grasp - that before Jesus would talk to his neighbors about the Heavenly Father, he would talk to his Heavenly Father about his neighbors.
#PRAYERMATTERS ...before Jesus embarked on anything important, he brought it to the Father in prayer. In fact, Jesus’ prayers for spiritually lost people continued up to his last breath on the cross.
Quote: Mother Teresa
“When I pray, coincidences happen. When I stop, they don’t.”
Who have you stopped praying for? Who in your life do you love—you want them to know Jesus and you used to pray regularly for them—but you’ve just stopped or slowed down? Keep praying.
*Here’s a question: If God were to answer every prayer you prayed last week, would there be anybody new in his kingdom / His eternal family?

1 Peter 3:15

let your friends/neighbors (those you’re praying for) know the door is always open for questions. I think Jesus would say, “Do you have a doubt, objection, obstacle? Come on in. We’ll talk about it.”
This centers around living out an authentic faith. Talk is cheap. And living out an authentic faith takes more than just words. Remember Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
In this verse, the Greek word for good doesn’t just refer to good as opposed to bad; it means winsome and attractive. Our authentic acts of service are attractive and can draw others toward Christ. It’s about living with a ‘compassion radar’.What do my friends/neighbors need?

John 1:12
