Why? Why is the Resurrection Important?
· The resurrection is the greatest proof of the truth of Christianity
· Jesus said His resurrection would prove who His claims of Deity (John 2:18-19)
· The resurrection of Jesus is either the greatest hoax perpetrated upon humanity or the greatest event in history.
How Do We Know the Resurrection Really Happened?
· We have eye witnesses to the facts of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus
· We have the evidence of the empty tomb
· We have the appearances of the resurrected Messiah
· We have the change in the disciples
· We have the Church that Jesus established enduring & growing
What Difference does the Resurrection Make in My Life Today?
· The resurrection provides hope (John 11:25-26)
· The resurrection provides purpose for life
· The resurrection provides us verifiable truth – Jesus is the only way of salvation (John 14:6, John 11:25-26)
