A Twig of Hope
Noah stood on the deck of the ark. It had rained forty days and nights. The rain has stopped by there is water everywhere. They've been looking or weeks. There's no sign of land. We've all been there...flooded by sorrow at a cemetery, stress at the office, anger at our failing bodies. And we needed what Noah needed. Just a sign of hope. We don't necessarily need to be rescued at the moment. We just need a glimmer that help is on the way. Noah received an olive twig delivered by a dove. We simply need "A Twig of Hope".

The people in the Bible stories were surrounded by scandals, stumbles, and surprises. Who are these people? And they were just like us. We find our stories in theirs. We find our hope where they found theirs...in the hands of an uncommon God. He passed out high callings, second chances, and amazing hope to these people. And maybe, if He found a place for them...He just might have a place for us as well. Our spring sermon series is entitled “Cast of Characters: Seeing Our Story In Theirs.”
