1. What was the Pharisees’ motive in bringing this woman before Jesus?
- Where did this take place? Why was this most likely a “set up?”
- How did Jesus respond? Why did he respond this way?

2. What might Jesus have stooped down and written in the dust (see 8:6)?

3. What usually happens when people’s sins and failures are dragged out into the open and exposed?
- Why are people so willing to judge and condemn others despite their own weaknesses?
- Why is Jesus so UNWILLING to judge and condemn others despite his right to do so?
- Who do you need to forgive and “drop the rock?”
