Social: Singleness

Social: Singleness

Have you ever wondered the reason we care so much about our relationships with friends, family, and the church? It is because we are made in the image of God, and He was “social,” if you will, from the foundations of the world. He made us all like Him. The goal of this "Social" series is to strengthen our most important relationships through the ancient wisdom of Proverbs. It’s okay to need help and help is available. Proverbs is rich with help for every relationship and we are a church that seeks relationship help pro-actively. Today we examine Singleness.

Online Giving

The Bible invites that Christ followers consistently and obediently give a portion of their financial blessings back to the Lord as an expression of worship, faith and love to the Lord.

God didn’t look at you and say, “Oops!"
Singleness is not failure at life.
God looked at you and says, “Mine!"
Singleness is okay, just like marriage.

Singleness is a gift, just like marriage, walk in it with joy until He says otherwise.

Singleness has a purpose, just like marriage, that we should not waste.
God looked at you and says, “Here!"
Godly, fulfilled single lives are a wonderful witness to the world of the sufficiency of all Christ has done, is doing and will do in your life!
LIFEGROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1. What do you think is the biggest benefit to being single? What do you think is the biggest drawback?

2. What was the biggest takeaway for you from Sunday's message?

3. What does Psalm 139:13-16 mean to you personally?

4. Read together 1 Corinthians 7:7-9, 32-35. According to this passage how is singleness a gift? And, how can singleness fit into God's plan?

5. Read together Mark 10:29-31. How have you seen these verses ring true in your life and others who have devoted themselves to following Christ wholeheartedly?

6. How can we as a “family” come alongside of each other?

7. In your group prayer time, ask the Lord how He would want to direct you and your group to the singles in God's family.
