We need another pentecost! A fresh outpouring! A revival! On ALL FLESH! A release of a sound from heaven that gathers a diverse multitude and invites all into the blessing of being united in Christ, in one place, in one accord by His spirit!
“Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand” (Matthew 12:22-28).
“We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”
Dr Martin Luther King Jr, St. Louis, March 22, 1964
Pentecost is the fulfillment of God's plan, “I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (Jer 31:33 ).
Lasting change doesn’t come by changing Laws, it comes by changing hearts. True Healing doesn’t come because we reform the system, but because we reform minds.
The answer for America is Revival
Why must we find that place of being in ONE ACCORD…
1) There is hope Found in harmony
Psalm133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore
Harmony does not mean that we are all the same, in fact, harmony requires diversity. Like an orchestra made up of many different instruments, many different sounds, yet all playing their part of one grand song.
“Sooner or later all the people of the world will have to discover a way to live together in peace, and thereby transform this pending cosmic elegy into a creative psalm of brotherhood. If this is to be achieved, man must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love.”
- Dr Martin Luther King Jr
That sounds like being in One Place and In One Accord!
a) On the day of Pentecost they were together in one place
- The Local Church Is The Hope of the City
- We don't need "ANOTHER" church, we need "ONE" church
b) On the day of Pentecost they were all in one accord
- 500 became 120, number was reduced to 25%
- It wasn't the quantity it was the quality
- That unity invited a sound
1 Cor 14:1 Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. 2 For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. 3 On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.
I can say, through the power of the Spirit, that wherever God can get a people that will come together in one accord and one mind in the word of God, the baptism of the Holy Ghost will fall upon them, like as at Cornelius’ house. —William J. Seymour
2) There is Disaster invited to disunity
Joshua 7:6 Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord until the evening, he and the elders of Israel. And they put dust on their heads. 7 And Joshua said, “Alas, O Lord God, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to give us into the hands of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would that we had been content to dwell beyond the Jordan! 8 O Lord, what can I say, when Israel has turned their backs before their enemies! 9 For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what will you do for your great name?”
10 The Lord said to Joshua, “Get up! Why have you fallen on your face? 11 Israel has sinned; they have transgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings. 12 Therefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their enemies
(Jos 7:1–12).
a) Israel failed because they moved by what they saw, not what they heard
b) Israel failed because they touched what belonged to God
c) Israel failed because of One Tent in the entire camp
3) There is reconciliation in revival
37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
(Ac 2:37–39)
How did Peter first miss that the promise was for ALL FLESH. So often we speak before we fully understand. He Prophesied before he Realized
Regardless the Infection, the Prescription will always be the same
Where Do We Go From Here/
a) Repent
b) Re-identify
c) Receive
Heart -> Home -> Church -> Community
