Series Premise:
A Christ-centered life transforms every aspect of our well-being.

Abundant lives are anchored and centered on Jesus who shapes and transforms the way we express our faith on a daily basis, treat ourselves, treat others, respond to challenges/battles of life, handle finances or financial matters.

How do we live a stress-free life characterized by Christ-Centered financial well being?
In answering that question we come to terms with the truth that as disciples of Jesus our attitude towards finances and material possessions has significant implications as expression of the transforming power of the gospel.
BIG IDEA:

Christ-centered financial well-being is the essence of wise and faithful financial stewardship.

>>> Christ-centered financial well-being begins with wisely acknowledging "we are managers".

Proverbs 8:1, Proverbs 8:18-21

* Prioritize God as the source of wisdom and possessions.

* Prioritizing God as the source of wisdom and possessions means that we worship God who is the provider and not the provisions.

Matthew 6:30-33

1 Chronicles 29:11-12

>>> Consuming ourselves with getting gets us consumed.

* "Trust in your money and down you go! But the godly will flourish like leaves in the spring." (Proverbs 11:28)

* "Your money flows effortlessly toward your heart's greatest love." (Timothy Keller)

* Resist being consumed with the pursuit of stuff

>>> Christ-centered Financial Well Being means we are defined by "who we are" and not "what we have".

* Are we defined by the quality and quantity of stuff or by the type of character we have?

* Trusting in the Lord is the ultimate rescue for "get-rich-quick" schemes.

* We are not defined by wealth and possessions, but by our relationship with God, and that relationship facilitates financial freedom and healthy honorable relationships with those around us.

Proverbs 22:1

>>> Handle wealth and possessions as tools for generosity.

* God gives us the opportunity to partner with Him in saving other.

* Generosity is our highest investment in this life, and yet it is the most difficult thing for us to do.

* The greatest gift released is the highest price paid for the greatest freedom.

1 Timothy 6:6-10
