Sunday 10:00 AM

We see Jesus - Hebrews 4:15-16 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
We see Jesus Full of the Holy Spirit being Led by the Holy Spirit and Being Tempted / Fasting

We Pray : “.. do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Matthew 6:13
Amazing to watch Jesus Fast while being tempted – Peace then Hunger & More Temptation
Great hunger comes at the end of a fast as genuine hunger pains ensue

It strikes me that Jesus fasted on purpose, knowing that this temptation was coming

Jesus was able to make bread from a stone, if God could make children of Abraham from the same
Jesus refused to “give place” (Ephesians 4:27) to the devil for even a moment
“If you are the Son of God…” - In that temptation, Jesus was hearing the voice of the serpent who tempted Eve, the “prince of this world”, the “prince of the power of the air”
“Man does not live by bread alone, but … by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD”
Then, Jesus was shown, “…all the kingdoms of the world and their glory” Matthew 4:8
"I will give You all this domain and its glory … if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours."

Jesus Answers, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD AND SERVE HIM ONLY.'"
Jesus on the Pinnacle of the Temple- - The House of Prayer and Worship
"If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; for it is written, 'HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU TO GUARD YOU, and, 'ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.'"
Immediately following the temptation of depending on the angels to protect him:
"Then the devil *left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.Matthew 4:11
God does not invite us to sin in order to see if we will…He does present us with choices to see what is in our hearts, to give us the opportunity to show a faithful heart.
