Patient Endurance

Patient Endurance

We all wonder about the future… What will tomorrow bring? Next week, month, year? The next 100 years (or 1,000)? While there's much we can't know, Jesus loves His church dearly and wants her to know what "must soon take place," sharing words of both support and challenge for her in the opening pages of "the revelation of Jesus Christ" (Revelation 1:1). This unveiling is both *from* Jesus (so we know it's true) and *about* Him (so we know it's significant). What it reveals is that Jesus is the King above all kings and the Lord above all lords! And that even still today He longs to invite people into relationship with Him – to be part of His bride (the church), to be washed and made pure through His love and holiness, and to rule and reign with Him. Coming soon – the victory of Jesus Christ!

Creating Spaces – 2K22

We believe that by 2022, through God's grace and power, we will see 2,000 people baptized and growing in relationship with Jesus through the Word, prayer, and community.

How can you play a part? Pray for those who don’t yet know Jesus, and share your life with them so they can experience good news through your words and actions.

Next Week's Text

Do words like "holiness" and "perseverance" sound dry, distant, cumbersome, or condescending to you? What if the problem isn't with the concept of moral purity itself, but rather with the idea that it can exist apart from love? This is much like the challenge facing the church in Ephesus a couple thousand years ago! Hear Jesus' words to them in Revelation 2:1-7, and discover how His words still speak to us today.
