Pentecost Week 1
Are we seeking the kingdom of God or the kingdom of the United States of America? With elaborate patriotic worship services and flags flying, it can become confusing to discern which kingdom we are truly living for. This week’s message helps the believer understand that it takes humility, honesty, and a heart turned toward God to maintain a healthy perspective of our earthly purposes and possessions

What a day we celebrate today. In all reality, aside from Jesus’ creation and the resurrection this is probably the biggest day in history although it is still scoffed at by many!

I know I use this illustration a lot, but reality is that this is the day that God gave us a down payment on eternity! This is the day that He connected us to him in ways that only prophets or leaders of God had bestowed on them in moments. (*and then the spirit of the Lord came upon Him…)

If there is one thing that is typically overlooked and downplayed, it is the coming of the Holy Spirit. He has a tendency to remain this enigma of force that imparts his will whenever He sees fit, but reality is our life isn’t Star Wars Episode X.

Today we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit by diving into a little bit more understanding of who he is.
Acts of the Apostles 2:1-21 NLT
