CONVERSATION STARTERS
Conversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. These prompts have been designed to help Community Groups grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their neighbors. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource to you. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.
1) In Luke 10:25, a lawyer asks Jesus what he must do to earn his inheritance of eternal life. A lot of us might identify with the lawyer’s question about earned acceptance. Where do you think this tendency of earning acceptance comes from?
2) We have all been in a position of need, whether spiritually, relationally, or financially. Did someone come alongside you during that time of need in a memorable way?
3) Who is one “neighbor” that God may be calling you to show more generosity and love toward? How about in your own household, work, or someone you don’t know well, but interact with regularly?
4) What is one way our group could put this parable into action and together be neighbors to someone in need?
