Part of growing up in their faith was leaving behind the temptation to still be religious, but not so fanatical about Jesus.

2 Reasons Hebrews 6 is not talking about losing your salvation.

1) The context speaks to those who came close to God but never really trusted Him.

See the interpretation of the parable of the sower in Matthew 13:18-23. Also see Matthew 7:21-23.

2) We must interpret Scripture in light of Scripture.

See Ephesians 1:13-14 & John 10:27-30.


Concluding Truth: Knowing Jesus provides hope that is an anchor for the soul. Anchors are needed most when storms are raging. Let Jesus be your anchor!
