Luke 10:25-32 NLT
Two principals we have to embrace if we are to wrap our minds around this concept
1. We have to learn to see things as Jesus sees them
a. As we follow Jesus, He’s going to change us for the rest of our lives
b. If you are a Christian” YOU ARE CALLED, EQUIPPED, EMPOWERED
AND EXPECTED BY ALMIGHTY GOD TO GET OFF OF THE BENCH AND INTO THE GAME
2. We have to respond as Jesus Leads
Luke 10:33-35 NLT
a. Following Jesus is simply recognizing His authority and doing what He says
b. 3 ways THE BIBLE SAYS you are supposed to be involved at a local church
i. Spiritually
1. Pray for your church
2. Pray for your pastors
3. Pray for your leadership team
ii. Physically
1. God has called everyone of us to get involved in a local church
iii. Financially
1. It’s not that the church needs your money, it’s that you and I
need to be obedient to the BASIC commandments of God
