Welcome to Crossroads!

The Crossroads Christian Church family is made up of people from many different backgrounds but we all have one thing in common: we love God and He is at the center of all we do! We believe the Bible is God’s infallible holy Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit and we enjoy coming together to hear His Word and sing praises to Him. Our doors are open to everyone, whether you’ve been attending church your whole life or this is your first time. At Crossroads, you are invited to come however you are. No need to pretend or put on special clothes, we have a casual environment with open arms for everyone. We hope that you will feel uplifted and encouraged to worship however the Holy Spirit leads you…whether it’s standing with your arms raised, clapping along with the music or sitting and spending time in prayer, we want you to be comfortable as you worship and praise God. We’re glad to have you with us this morning. Be sure to join us for donuts and coffee between services!

Every other month we host a Closer Look Class where you can learn more about Crossroads’ beliefs and philosophy, how it got started and its plans for the future. The next class will be on Saturday, January 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Childcare and lunch will be provided. You can sign up online (About Us > Closer Look Class).

For Parents:

· A cry room (The Living Room) is available next to the main bathrooms for parents with young children. You can watch a live stream of the service in this room at 9:15 and 11 a.m. (A private room for nursing moms is located in our toddler nursery.)

· We offer a nursery for infants and toddlers and children’s programming for kids 3 years through 5th grade during our 9:15 and 11 a.m. services. Students in grades 6-12 have their own worship service upstairs in the Loft at 11 a.m.

Jesus was known for being pretty radical with some of His teachings. On occasion, people would even walk away because it was more than they could handle. Next Sunday, we will look at several instances in which He must have ‘turned some heads’ with His words in a new 6-part series entitled Extreme Christianity. Message titles include:

Grow PrimeTime

Wednesday, Feb. 1 | 7 p.m. | Gym

The Grow PrimeTime is designed to equip church members to be spiritual leaders in their homes. Whether they are parents, grandparent, empty nester, or single, this event is a great entry point into understanding what it means to create space for the Holy Spirit to be present in the home. Through a variety of mediums and fun learning experiences, we will learn to change our focus from looking for approval and advice from those around us, to looking up and seeing how God is working in our lives. Dinner will be served beforehand at 6:30 p.m. RSVP online or on the Connection Card by Jan. 30 if you’ll come for dinner. Otherwise we’ll see you at 7 p.m. for the presentation. We hope you’ll join us.

Super Bowl Party

Sunday, Feb. 5 | 5 p.m. | Gym

The Outreach Team is hosting a Super Bowl Party! This is a community outreach so EVERYONE is welcome...friends, family, neighbors, co-workers… they are all invited. Flyers are available at the Welcome Center. Bring a chair or blanket and come watch the big game with us. We’ll provide hot dogs, chili, popcorn, chips, cookies and drinks. Feel free to bring an appetizer/finger food or dessert to share! We’ll also have fun games and activities for kids and families to enjoy during the game, plus a $25 gift card drawing during Halftime. Come at 5 p.m. to get settled in and the game will start at 5:30 p.m. Stay for part of the game or see it thru to the end. We hope to see you there!

· Mom’s Connect

All Moms with kids of any age are invited to attend Mom’s Connect AM or PM. Mom’s Connect AM will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 9 - 11 a.m. in the Children’s Center. Mom’s Connect PM will meet every 3rd Sunday from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Children’s Center. The mission of Mom’s connect is to inspire, equip and support moms. Today in Grounded, we start a new series through the Book of Genesis called Beginnings, with a lesson on Creation.

· PODs | Wednesday, January 11 | 7 p.m. | Loft

Our weekly Small Groups return this week! Come at 6:30 p.m. for Open Gym then meet in the Loft at 7 p.m. as we begin our discussion on “Tongue Tied: Control Your Tongue, Control Your Life”.

· Jaegers Paintball | Sunday, Jan. 15 | 1 – 6 p.m. | Jaegers in KCMO

Calling all Sr. High youth and 8th grade Students…Join us next Sunday for a fun afternoon of paintball at Jaegers Underground Paintball! Cost is $25 which includes gun rental, extra paint, and pizza. We will meet in the Loft immediately following Grounded on Jan. 15th. At 1:00 p.m., pizza will arrive and we will eat together. At around 1:30 p.m. we will leave for Jaegers. We will play several rounds from 3 - 5 p.m. We will return to the church at around 6:00 p.m. RSVP online.
