(Matthew 6:25 NIV) “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.

Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?”

1) Worry is unreasonable.

(Matthew 6:26 NIV) “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
2) Worry is unnatural.

(Matthew 6:27 NIV) “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”
3) Worry is unhealthy.

4) Worry is unnecessary.

1. Refocus your thoughts.

(Ecclesiastes 8:7 NIV) Since no one knows the future, who can tell someone else what is to come?

(Philippians 4:8 NIV) Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,

whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

(Matthew 6:33 NIV) “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
2. Refocus your energy.

(Philippians 4:6-7 LB) “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs … If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.”

(Matthew 6:34 NIV) “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
