What we fill our minds with and focus on will have an impact on our anxiety. The thief of our joy wants us to fixate on the wrong things, God invited us to fix our eyes on Jesus and feed our minds on truth.
Worship in Prayer
Let’s join together as the church to declare our gratitude and lift our requests to God as we surrender together to His will for us. Praying together is not limited to our gatherings on Sundays, we can pray together daily as the church! As you pray through these 6 areas, use this prayer guide to help your daily prayer focus all week long

Philippians 4:8-9 NIV
We have the choice to think right, with the help of God.
“Brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9
This is not a choice to simply think positive thoughts. It is a battle for our hearts and minds that we must be willing to fight for.
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Paul did not fight to escape his circumstances; He fought to escape the prison of wrong thinking.
Thoughts that consume us will end up controlling us.
Learn to STOP rogue thoughts. ARREST them and bring them under God’s authority.
Satan is hell bent in robbing you of your freedom to worship. God is heaven bent in bringing you His peace in worship.
No matter how many times you spin your anxious thoughts they will never bring you peace.
Instead of fixating on the things that you cannot control, choose to fix your thoughts on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy.
The world’s definition of peace is based on what flows to you. God’s definition of peace is what flows from you.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23
Our weapons are God’s word, prayer, worship and the Spirit.
We need to be alert to the danger of wrongly focused thinking and we need to proactively feed our minds.
You are NOT a victim of your thought life. You are more than a conqueror of every thought that runs through your mind.
Learn to think right. And the God of peace will be with you.
