Waiting is such a huge part of Advent.

To a world waiting for rescue, they gave God’s promise of a Messiah.

What is the promise of the Messiah?

The Messiah is God’s anointed one.

Our God is הגואל (Haggo’el) - the Redeemer God - who longs to fix what is broken in our lives and He invites us into the process with Him.

Why is the virgin birth so important?

God wasn’t planning on simply winning a victory, His plan was for our complete redemption.

When was God present with them in all of this?

God was present with them before their journey even began.

God was present with them through every step of the journey.

He was there when they headed back home.

The fact of the matter is that God was with them every step of the way, and He is still with us today.
