Four Lessons I have learned about having hope...
WHEN WE HAVE HOPE WE GAIN A HANG ON ATTITUDE
By the end of life one in Christ should be overflowing with hope, some on the other hand are overflowing with bitterness. They have stored up life's hurts so long that when someone gets near they ooze with the fluid of bitterness.
What are you storing up for the future: Hope or Bitterness?
Hebrews 6:19 (NKJ)
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil
Is you soul anchored in Jesus?
Hope is anchored in Heaven!
Do you have this Hope?
Is your hope secure?
Or does it fade away like sunshine during a storm?
HOPE ESCORTS AN OPTIMISTIC OUTLOOK
Psalm 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. (NKJ)
Hope battles our discouragements. Keeps us optimistic about tomorrow
HOPE NOURISHES OUR EXPECTATION
Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. (NKJ)
Heb 6:17-18 (TMSG)
When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word,
a rock-solid guarantee- God can't break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable.
We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.
OUR HOPE US IDENTIFIES WHO WE TRUST…
1 Peter 3:15 (NKJV)
…sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the HOPE that is in you, with meekness and fear;
