Let us have confidence, not in ourselves but confidence that comes from the love that God has for us.
We are the tax collector! We are the excluded, the unwanted, and the unwelcome
The source of God’s love for us is His character, not our performance, therefore have confidence.
The calling of sinners is not the exception, it’s Jesus' common practice. Jesus makes the excluded included; Jesus makes the unwanted wanted, and the unwelcome welcome.
People who know they are big fat sinners stand closer to God than people who think themselves righteous, because they are aware of their need for transforming grace.
Don’t be robbed of the confidence that comes with living out the reality that God loves you and therefore has a plan for you.
