Take Heart

Take Heart

God's peace can be our peace when we are anxious. This is asleep in the storm, illogical peace. We can take heart because we know that God is all powerful. Christ has overcome.

Worship Through Giving

Giving back to God is a regular expression of worship, gratitude and praise. See our giving options. Offering Prayer: God thank you for everything that you have provided to us. We give back to you as an expression of worship, gratitude, and praise for who you are. You are a good good father. Thank you that through this challenging time, we are assured that we do not need to worry, but trust that you will provide for our needs. Help us to be generous with what you have given, and lead us into opportunities to bless and serve others with the resources you have given to us. In Jesus' name. Amen

Philippians 4:5-7

No matter what we are going through, God’s peace can be our peace when we are troubled and anxious.

“Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

The peace that God wants to give us surpasses all understanding. It is beyond our human comprehension.

Life with God is not a formula. It is not peace in a bottle; it is peace in a relationship.
“In this world you will have trouble.” John 16:33

There will be storms in life even when Jesus leads us and He is in the boat!

Experiencing a storm doesn’t always mean we are off course, we may be on course!

The peace that God gives doesn’t come from knowing why; it comes from knowing the “I Am.”

Because God doesn’t always calm the storm immediately we can think He doesn’t care or that He is unable or unwilling to do anything to help.

Jesus is Lord over nature. Jesus is Lord over trouble. Jesus is Lord over anxiety.
Sometimes Jesus calms the storm in our lives immediately but often the impact of a storm doesn’t recede for a while, even when we pray.

God is still speaking to the storm. He is still present and working. He is always growing our faith.

Sometimes all we can do is hold on to the Father knowing that He does care and that He is speaking to the storm.

We can know that all is well with my soul when all may be wrong with my situation.

God’s peace not only calms our anxiety; it guards our hearts and minds from being taken over by anxiety.

God’s peace is a vaccine for the soul. It neutralizes the power of anxiety over our spirit. The threat is real but the power of God to define us and keep us is greater.
We can always choose to take heart in Christ because He has overcome the world.

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

He is our lighthouse. He is the light in the storm. He hasn’t moved.

Take heart in Jesus today. May you know His peace and may you become a peacemaker in the lives of others.
