Hebrews 1:1-2 NIV
The true IDENTITY of Jesus determines how seriously I should take His MESSAGE.
1. How does the author describe the IDENTITY of God’s Son?
2. What is the RELATIONSHIP between God and Jesus in these descriptions?
Hebrews 1:1-4 NIV
Verse 2:
“GOD HAS SPOKEN TO US by His Son”
“whom He appointed HEIR of all things”
“Through whom HE MADE THE UNIVERSE”
Verse 3:
“The Son is the RADIANCE OF GOD’S GLORY”
“and the EXACT REPRESENTATION of His being”
“SUSTAINING ALL THINGS by His powerful word”

JESUS is…
- The CONDUIT of God’s message.
- The heir of ALL THINGS.
- The One who made THE UNIVERSE.
- The RADIANCE of God’s glory.
- The EXACT REPRESENTATION of His being.
…and He IS SUSTAINING all things.
JESUS’ identity in Hebrews has NOT been exaggerated. How do I know?
1. The RESURRECTION
2. The MARTYRDOM of many eyewitnesses
3. The DATE Hebrews was written
