“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” Ephesians 5:6

We are not earthly warthogs - we are spiritual princes and princesses in the Kingdom of God! Brother, sister - remember who you are!
● Verse 1 says we are beloved children.
● Verse 2 says we have been bought with the precious blood of Christ.
● Verse 3 says we are SAINTS - holy ones in Christ.
● Verse 4 says that crude talk is out of place for those who should be marked by gratitude for all God has done for us.
● Verse 5 says we have a spiritual inheritance in the kingdom of God - why would we devote ourselves to the impure temptations of this world?
● Verse 8 says “You WERE darkness, but now you are LIGHT in the Lord.”
● Verse 1 says we are beloved children.

● Verse 4 says that crude talk is out of place for those who should be marked by gratitude for all God has done for us.

They were like the proverbial frog in the kettle - they didn’t notice the slow change in their hearts and minds over time - their faith was slowly poisoned by the empty words of worldly wisdom. And they did not feed themselves on the cure that comes in God’s Word and godly fellowship.
