Albright Church
It is easy to focus on all the things we don't have and forget to be grateful for all the things we have already. Learning to give thanks torpedoes the divided mind that anxiety brings.

Worship in Prayer

Let’s join together as the church to declare our gratitude and lift our requests to God as we surrender together to His will for us. Praying together is not limited to our gatherings on Sundays, we can pray together daily as the church! As you pray through these 6 areas, use this prayer guide to help your daily prayer focus all week long

Give thanks and pray:
- for your family
- for your church family, friends, and neighbours
- for our pastors, staff and church leaders
- for healthcare and front line workers
- for Our City and government
- for our EMCC denomination and our Mission Partners

Worship Through Giving

Giving back to God is a regular expression of worship, gratitude and praise.  See our giving options. Offering Prayer: God thank you for everything that you have provided to us. We give back to you as an expression of worship, gratitude, and praise for who you are. You are a good good father. Thank you that through this challenging time, we are assured that we do not need to worry, but trust that you will provide for our needs. Help us to be generous with what you have given, and lead us into opportunities to bless and serve others with the resources you have given to us. In Jesus' name. Amen

“The widest river on earth is a body of water called, ‘If Only’.” Max Lucado

When we become anxious we need to trace our anxiety back to the source.

Are you looking for the land of the good life that always seems a step too far?

The best life doesn’t begin when our circumstances change; it happens when we are brought into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.

Instead of trying to get to the other side of the river we learn to swim in the ocean of His love and grace. We, slowly, become thankful people.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6
Gratitude releases the endorphins of God’s grace that produces empathy for others. We will want to bless others out of the experience of God’s grace in our lives.

- Do you have Jesus?
- Are you living in thankful worship?
- Where is your focus?
- Do you need to be freed from the “If only” trap in your life?

What you have in Christ is greater than anything you don’t have presently in your life.

“When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed.
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost.
Count your many blessings, name them one by one.
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.”
Johnson Oatman
Bringing our requests to God in prayer reveals what we desperately want from God. Being thankful in prayer reveals what we desperately want to give to God: A heart of worship!

It is easy to focus on all the things we don’t have and not be thankful for all the things we have already.

Learning to give thanks when we feel anxious is a spiritual discipline that frees our minds to worship Him alone.

We can only fully enjoy the moment when we worship God in the moment.

When God changes our hearts we become more aware of the ocean of His abundance than the river of our ‘If Only’s.’

“When we give thanks for our blessings, anxiety grabs its bags and slips out the back door. It refuses to share space with a thankful heart.” Max Lucado
