Now we do want you to know that at the conclusion of service today from 11-12PM, we will be handing out mother’s day gifts at the church as a drive through service to you! We simply want to honor you and love on you and say thank you for all you do/have done!

Whether you fully recognize it or not, you are leaving a lasting legacy, even if you find yourself frustrated personally for feeling like you want to run and hide from the chaos more often than you care to admit! Keep the faith! You have a legacy to hand off!

Application Point:
May we not relinquish our responsibilities to someone else, but instead, take ownership over our sphere of influence so that the next generation might be changed for the good.
In modern times, consider:
Corrie ten Boom, a single woman all her life, who was responsible for hiding many Jews away from the Nazi Holocaust.
What a bold, courageous woman who certainly left a legacy of great influence!

What about the life of Elisabeth Elliot whose missionary husband, Jim, was killed by the very people he sought to reach?
Elisabeth stayed on the mission field and continued to raise her daughter and reach out to that very tribe that killed her husband.
What a great example of biblical strength and character!

What about Amy Carmichael? She was a single woman and a missionary in India who started an orphanage for sexually trafficked girls and also boys.
She was called “Amma” (Mother).
She would go on to write many books.

Whatever God’s calling is on your life today, his desire is that you use your influence in the location where he has placed you to leave a LASTING LEGACY.
