Kalamazoo First Assembly of God
Pivot Point Week 6: "The Rx of Offense"
Life is full of “Jacob moments.” I like to call them “Pivot Points.” These are the moments in life that can to set you back, but through Christ, can propel you forward. In September and October, we’ll trace Jacob’s life. We’ll look at his decisions, and we’ll see how God used each moment, each “Pivot Point,” to grow this “deceiver” into a “Prince of God.”

We can’t live in the Land of Promise without leaving our place of offense.

#PivotPoint
Offense Develops:
1 – Experience something different than you expected.
2 – That experience turns into distrust.
3 – Distrust, mishandled, will form disappointment.
4 – Disappointment held onto, grows into offense.

#PivotPoint
How Jacob mishandled offense:

1. Dwelt on offenses lead to misguided reactions.
2. Picked up offenses will exaggerated issues.
3. Unattended offenses create self-serving responses.
The better you handle the grace of God, the less chance you’ll mishandle offenses.
