We will be having a Costume Contest with prizes for the top 3 costumes! Have fun! Be creative! On Friday November 11, our 2017 Haiti team is hosting our first ever Trivia Night Fundraiser! We will have an exciting evening filled with trivia, prizes, silent auction, split the pot, concessions, music, and most of all FUN!! Tickets are only $5 in advance when you buy them online and $7 at the door. Grab your friends and co workers and come support our 2017 Haiti team as they prepare to serve Christ in Haiti! Go to https://hittheriver.com/events/trivia-night-fundraiser-111116 for tickets! <br><br><b>Thanksgiving Meals</b><br>We have a great opportunity for community groups, families, or individuals to live out the whole Walk Across The Room lifestyle! You can volunteer, assemble, and deliver a Thanksgiving Meal to bless a family in need within our 5-mile radius.<br><br>The church will supply the ham and the name of a family in need. You would purchase the accompanying sides and deliver the meal. You’ll be given a list of suggested sides that would be simple for the family to make along with the family’s contact information and guidelines. You may be thinking why a ham? It is because some people don’t have an oven, or a full size oven, that will accommodate cooking a turkey.<br><br>If you would like to participate, please sign up by filling out a Thanksgiving Meal card located on a glass table at the guest center and place it in the wooden box. If you personally know of a family in need OR if you would be blessed by a meal for your family, please check the appropriate box on the Thanksgiving Meal card. We only have a limited number of hams available, so sign up as soon as possible. Hams will be available for delivery between November 13 to November 22. For more information email info@HitTheRiver.com.<br><br><b>Operation Christmas Child</b><br>It’s that time of year again where we start collecting boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The deadline for submitting boxes is November 13. Unfortunately boxes received after November 13 will not be sent to the kids.<br><br>For instructions on how to pack your shoebox, please see the insert in the bulletin. Below is a brief summary of what you will need to do:<br><b>1</b> Get a shoebox<br><b>2</b> Include a “WOW” toy<br><b>3</b> Fill with gifts<br><b>4</b> Pray<br><b>5</b> Include a $7 donation for shipping costs<br><b>6</b> Drop off at church by November 13<br><b>7</b> Complete the giving envelope and apply the appropriate label provided, designating the gift for a boy or girl. Envelopes can be found on the credenza outside the worship center or by the Mission wall.<br><br><b>River Youth Fall Retreat: Revolution!</b><br>The River Youth’s annual retreat: Revolution is right around the corner! From December 2-4, we will be heading to PVM Camp in Camden, OH for an amazing Spirit filled weekend. This is the biggest event we do all year and students walk away changed every year. Make sure that your student doesn’t miss out on this incredible event. The cost is $120 which covers food, lodging, and a retreat t-shirt. And live peacefully with each other. </i><b>1 Thessalonians 5:12-13</b> NLT<br><br>October is the time of year where we, as a church family, make a special effort to overwhelm our Pastors and Leadership Staff by encouraging their spirit, igniting their faith, appreciating, loving and lifting them up in prayer. <br><br>You are encouraged to:<br><br>Talk with them about how much you appreciate their sermons, teaching, worship, lessons, effort, love for God and the church family, really anything they do to show God’s love.<br><br>Pray for our Pastors and Leadership Staff. If you like guided prayer, there is a 30 day prayer guide available on the credenza outside the worship center.<br><br>Write personal notes of appreciation and encouragement. Cards will be collected in a box located on the credenza outside the worship center. We will present our Leaders with your cards on October 30. On Sunday, November 20 you are invited to join us at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel (7500 Tylers Place, West Chester, OH 45069) from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The event is free and the whole family is welcome. Childcare is not available.<br><br>There are a limited number of seats, so please RSVP by November 13 online at https://hittheriver.com/events/pie-coffee-thanksgiving-celebration-112016 or on your connection card. Please let us know how many people will be coming.
