Conversation Starter- Daniel 3:1-30
TAKEAWAY: How would you explain this sermon to a child?
SCRIPTURE: How would you describe Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego’s worldview in Daniel 3:13-18? Read, then discuss.
THINKING BACK: Have you ever been in a situation when your faith offended someone? What happened? OR in what ways might your faith be offensive in our contemporary culture going forward?
OPENING UP: Anthony pointed out that “even if” faith is costly. What areas of your life do you have a hard time being willing to give up as part of the cost of having this kind of faith in God?
REFLECT: How might the fact that God enters the furnace with us encourage or strengthen you?
PRAYER: Read Matthew 26:39 and Hebrews 4:14-16 and remember how our God enters the furnace with us.As we consider this, let’s entrust all of our concerns and hopes to God, knowing that he is with us in all of it. And as we pray let us remind ourselves that God is God, God is good, and God is still in control.
Scripture: Daniel 3:1-30
Speaker: Anthony Emerson, AnthonyE@ChristCommunityKC.org
