We started out in darkness and some of us live there

The two realities of darkness
1) lost to found / unsaved to saved / not a christian to a christian
2) darkness is a place to hide because of sin

There are three ways hiding in darkness ends
1) confess your sin—being honest with people / seeking accountability
2) get caught—which is God’s mercy
3) God gives you over to your sin—God’s wrath

Are you hiding in the darkness?
Are you ready and willing to step into the light?

We started out empty

There is an eternal void in your being that can’t be filled by anything but Jesus.

There is an emptiness that only Jesus can fill
There is a satisfaction that only He can quench
What are you trying to fill it with?

Jesus is the light of the World

He shapes you by...
-forming you to look like Jesus
-pulling you out of darkness
-filling you with life

This happens when you see Jesus and He becomes real and personal to you

Is He real and personal to you?
