Our culture defines self-control as "the ability to control oneself, to modify your personal behavior & control your emotions in difficult situations.
Self-control is almost an oxymoron.
The cultural definition of self-control implies we are capable of controlling ourselves.
The New Testament defines self-control as the Holy Spirit produced ability to direct your personal energies wisely.
1st Temptation = Physical in nature
