Scripture: Daniel 1:1-7
Speaker: Jordan Green, JordanG@ChristCommunityKC.org
>> God is not pleased when we try to take control.
> Stop trying so hard to get control
> Learn from those without control
TAKEAWAY: In your own words, what was Jordan hoping to communicate in the sermon this week?
OPENING UP: In what areas of your life or culture does it seem like the world is out of control?
SCRIPTURE: Read Daniel 1:1-3. Despite all that is happening around him, Daniel insists that God is ultimately in control. If that is still true today, how might that truth change how you view and live in the world?
REFLECTING: If God is in control, then we are by definition not in control. How do you feel about that? Do you think you truly believe that, as Jordan suggested, not being in control is a good thing for us?
ASSESSING HABITS: How can you become more excited about the ways God is at work, even in the midst of difficult realities in our lives and in our world?
PRAYER: As you pray together, ask God to grow your trust in the goodness of His control over everything.
